Honestly, this is pretty good. Would read the whole book. It remnids me a bit of Return by Clayton J. Elliot in how it portrays the post-collapse state of the world (though that book deals more with pre-collapse and collapse). I like that it takes into account all the local specifics; there are many works out there that don't, and feel sloppy. This has potential.

Wow, thank you so much - this means a lot to me!

I haven't yet read "Return" yet, but I will put it on my list. Thanks for the recommendation. In terms of post-collapse/cli-fi literature, the only books I've read so far are "A Friend of the Earth" by T.C. Boyle, "Always Coming Home" by Ursula K Le Guin, The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk, and "The Ministry for the Future" by Kim Stanley Robinson, which are all pretty good.
